Vamana: Emesis Therapy
Vamana is a special Ayurvedic treatment that helps your body get rid of extra mucus. When too much mucus builds up in your lungs and chest, it can cause problems like coughing, asthma, frequent colds, bronchitis, and breathing issues. Vamana, also known as therapeutic vomiting, gently cleans out this mucus to make you feel better.

Virechan: Purgation Therapy
Virechan is an Ayurvedic
therapy that uses natural laxatives to gently clean the intestines. It is used when too much bile — called Pitta in Ayurveda builds up in the liver, gallbladder This extra pitta can cause problems like skin rashes, acne, inflammation, nausea, frequent fever and even jaundice.

Anuwasana Basti (Internal Oil Enema)

Shirodhara
Shirodhara is a calming Ayurvedic therapy where warm herbal oil is gently poured over the forehead in a steady stream. It deeply relaxes the mind, reduces stress, improves sleep, and balances the nervous system. Shirodhara is especially helpful for anxiety, insomnia, headaches, and promoting mental clarity and emotional balance.

Swedana
Swedana means sweating. It is used in Panchakarma to open up the body’s channels and help remove toxins. It is usually done after Snehana (oil massage) to make the body soft and ready for cleansing. Steam or heat is used to make the person sweat, which helps push the toxins out of the body.
1. Swedan (Full Body Steam)
This is a general steam therapy given to the whole body. After applying oil to the body (Snehan), steam is used to make the person sweat. It helps remove toxins, reduce stiffness, and relax the muscles. It also improves blood flow and opens the body's natural channels.
2. Nadi Swedan
In Nadi Swedan, steam is directed to a specific body part using a tube or pipe. This is useful when pain, swelling, or stiffness is only in one area, like the knee or shoulder. It is very effective in joint pain, back pain, and arthritis.
3. Patra Pinda Swedan (Full Body)
This therapy uses warm bundles made of medicinal leaves and herbs. These bundles are dipped in warm oil and gently massaged all over the body. It helps with pain, swelling, muscle stiffness, and improves movement in joints.
4. Churna Pinda Swedan (Full Body)
In this type, dry herbal powders are heated and tied in cloth bundles. These are then used to massage the body. It is useful for reducing stiffness, fat, and pain—especially in people with obesity or arthritis.
5. Shashtishali Pinda Swedan (Full Body)
This is a nourishing Swedan therapy. Special red rice (called Shashtishali) is cooked in milk and herbs, tied in a bundle, and used to massage the whole body. It strengthens muscles, improves skin tone, and is good for people who are weak, recovering from illness, or have muscle loss.

Abhyanga
